This listing is for a set of 8 Bull-nosed stair treads made with Black Tie Black Jack. Each tread is 27″ Wide and 10″ Deep. These treads are in new condition.

Part of our premium wool collection of stair treads!  An elegant but affordable alternative to a complete professional runner installation.

We made these treads standard 27″ wide and they fit the standard 10″ deep stair with a 1″ thick tread.   We also custom make matching landings (with the option of a built in bullnose on one edge at no additional cost) and runners, just let us know what you need!

The style is called Black Tie and the color in this listing is called Black Jack. It is made by J Mish with 100% New Zealand Wool. J Mish puts it best: “With a nubby wool texture, reminiscent of a fisherman’s sweater, Blackjack alternates rows of thick loop stripe with textured vertical ribs in a two-color check. Blackjack is part of the Black Collection, four classic yet bold styles based on a variegated stripe theme, each with a unique texture and rhythm.”

Here is how we do it:

We start with this awesome 100% New Zealand Wool carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the borders, permanently attach our True Bullnose® rigid edge, and then add padding then nonskid to the back.

The standard size is made for a 10″ deep tread 27″ wide, but you look our our other listings for more  options and more sizes— or we can make any custom size you may need! As shown in our Shop and in the last two pics (of a different style), the stair tread is permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so that when installed it will stay nicely wrapped around your stair tread. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope that your tread will stay wrapped around the end of your stair tread. Not these. treads have a pressure sensitive material that keeps the tread in place and a strong, rigid bullnose edge that keeps the wrap-around in place.
