This listing is for a set of 14 True Bullnose® stair treads made with Sunrise Misty Water. Each tread is 31″ Wide and 10″ Deep.

These are already made and ready to ship. We made them 31″ wide and they fit the standard 10″ deep stair with a 1″ thick or less step. To measure your stair depth, go from the back wall to the tip of the bullnose by looking straight down at the tape measure – do not wrap the tape measure around because we already added enough carpet for the wraparound.

The style is called Sunrise Misty Water and it is made by J Mish with Ecco Tex Blend New Zealand Wool.  Jmish describes this carpet as: A charming style featuring an inventive collar palette with a rich high-low loop texture. Each coloration includes two yarn colors;one creates a bulky vertical rib, the other is tufted with dashes of a contrasting color between the lines, creating a textured grid.

An elegant but affordable alternative to a complete professional runner installation. We sell treads individually (per step) so you can order the correct number of treads to match the number of steps you have in your staircase.

Here is how we do it:

We start with this awesome Wool blend carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the borders, permanently attach our True Bullnose® rigid edge, and then add a soft, non-scratchy padding to the back. (Padding is now recommended by every carpet manufacturer. It improves the comfort, performance and life of the carpet. We use a 100% post-consumer padding and the best part is we include it at no additional cost!)

As shown in the pictures, the True Bullnose® stair tread is permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so when installed, it will stay nicely wrapped around your stairs. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope that the treads stay wrapped around the stairs. Not these. True Bullnose® treads have a pressure sensitive material that keeps the tread in place and a strong, rigid bullnose edge that keeps the wrap-around in place.
