These are already made and ready to ship. We made them 31″ wide and they fit the standard 10″ deep stair with a 1″ thick or less step. To measure your stair depth, go from the back wall to the tip of the bullnose by looking straight down at the tape measure – no need to wrap the tape measure around, because we already added enough carpet for the wraparound.

The style is called Aspen II French and is made by J Mish with 100% Wool. J Mish puts it best: “Aspen II is a classic herringbone pattern, enriched with the use of natural, heather wool. A new take on this time-honored pattern, Aspen will bring a textural richness to any room.”

Here is how we do it:

We start with this awesome 100% Wool carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the boarders and then permanently attach our True Bullnose® rigid edge.

As shown in our Shop, the True Bullnose® stair tread is permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so when installed, it will stay nicely wrapped around your stairs. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope that the treads stay wrapped around the end of the stairs. Not these. True Bullnose® treads have a pressure sensitive material that keeps the tread in place and a strong, rigid bullnose edge that keeps the wrap-around in place.
