This listing is for a set of 9 Bull-nosed stair treads made with Baytowne II North Sea. Each tread is 24″ Wide and 10″ Deep. ASK FOR FREE SAMPLES!

This is a sale box set – the treads are in new condition. If you have been looking for a great deal on treads now is the time! We are cleaning out our carpets to make room for new styles to be added!

These are already made and ready to ship. We made them 24″ wide and they fit the standard 10″ deep stair with a 1″ thick or less step. To measure your stair depth, go from the back wall to the tip of the bullnose by looking straight down at the tape measure – no need to wrap the tape measure around, because we already added enough carpet for the wraparound.

This carpet is made by J Mish, who puts it best: “Baytowne II is a tailored corded striped loop wool carpet. Each carpet color is made up of two softly contrasting tones alternating in a vertical stripe, with a palette of nature-inspired colors. The colored stripe proportions are slightly different adding interest to the classic texture.”

Here is how we do it:

We start with this awesome 100% New Zealand Wool carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the boarders, permanently attach our True Bullnose® rigid edge, and then add a soft, non-scratchy padding to the back. (Padding is now recommended by every carpet manufacturer. It improves the comfort, performance and life of the carpet. We use a 100% post-consumer padding and the best part is we include it at no additional cost!)

As shown in the pictures, the True Bullnose® stair tread is permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so when installed, it will stay nicely wrapped around your stairs. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope the treads stay wrapped around the stairs. Not these. True Bullnose® treads have a pressure sensitive material that keeps the tread in place and a strong, rigid bullnose edge that keeps the wrap-around in place.
