These are already made and ready to ship. We made them 24″ wide and they fit the standard 10″ deep stair with a 1″ thick or less step. To measure your stair depth, go from the back wall to the tip of the bullnose by looking straight down at the tape measure – no need to wrap the tape measure around the step, because we already added enough carpet for the wraparound.
The style is made by Nourison using 70% Wool and 30% Nourlon Nylon. Nourlon is a durable nylon fiber developed by Nourison and engineered to mimic the luster and softness of real silk.
Here is how we do it:
We start with this awesome Wool Blend carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the boarders and then permanently attach our True Bullnose® rigid edge.
As shown in our Shop, the True Bullnose® stair tread is permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so when installed, it will stay nicely wrapped around your stairs. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope the treads will stay wrapped around the end of the stairs. Not these. True Bullnose® treads have a pressure sensitive material that keeps the tread in place and a strong, rigid bullnose edge that keeps the wrap-around in place.

Through our supply database we are able to identify which of our growers can best deliver wool to meet the requirements of individual products. By connecting our growers with supply partners we are able to communicate future market requirements to ensure our growers adapt on-farm methods to deliver the ultimate wool.
If you decide to order additional stair treads, please note that we are not able to guarantee that orders placed at different times will be produced from the same dye lot. Due to the nature of textile production, both carpet color and binding color can vary from one dye lot to the next. Typically this variation is slight. We recommend placing a single order for all treads, including custom pieces, to ensure that they will all be produced from the same dye lot.
In addition to our return and exchange policy, there is a 30% restocking fee for any returns. While we wish this was not necessary, our shop’s made to order nature makes it so. We purchase the carpet and create each order once it is placed. Thank you for your understanding and patience!
