This listing is for a set of 13 True Bullnose® stair treads made with Always Natural in the color Cork. Each tread is 27″ Wide and 10″ Deep.

These are already made and ready to ship. We made them 27″ wide and they fit the standard 10″ Deep stair with a 1″ thick or less step. To measure your stair depth, go from the back wall to the tip of the bullnose by looking straight down at the tape measure – no need to wrap the tape measure around, because we already added enough carpet for the wraparound.
These treads are made using Shaw Industries’ Anderson Tuftex Always Natural carpeting in the color Cork. This beautiful loop pile carpet is woven using 100% Anso high performance nylon. The two tones of these styles create a herringbone pattern which lends a classic yet whimsical look to any staircase. Anderson Tuftex describes this carpet as “A beauty in imperfection. Perfect patterns as one imperfect herringbone. Always Natural provides seamless satisfying appeal.” An elegant but affordable alternative to a complete professional runner installation.
Here is how we do it:
We start with this beautiful 100% Anso high performance nylon carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the borders, permanently attach our True Bullnose® rigid edge, and then add padding then nonskid to the back.
As shown in our Shop, the True Bullnose® stair tread is permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so when installed, it will stay nicely wrapped around your stairs. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope the tread will stay wrapped around the end of the stairs. Not these. True Bullnose® treads have a pressure sensitive material that keeps the tread in place and a strong, rigid bullnose edge that keeps the wrap-around in place.
