This listing is for a set of 16 True Bullnose® stair treads made with Sequence Onyx. Each tread is made to fit stairs which are at least 31″ Wide and 10″ Deep.

These are already made and ready to ship. We made them 31″ wide and they fit the standard 10″ deep stair with a 1″ thick or less step. To measure your stair depth, go from the back wall to the tip of the bullnose by looking straight down at the tape measure – no need to wrap the tape measure around, because we already added enough carpet for the wraparound.

Part of our premium New Zealand wool collection of stair treads! An elegant but affordable alternative to a complete professional runner installation. The style is called Sequence and the color in this listing is called Onyx. It is made by J Mish with 100% New Zealand Wool. J Mish puts it best: “Sequence has a homespun look in a variegated cut / loop stripe with a texture that seems both rugged and plush. Tufted of 100% New Zealand wool, Sequence is true to its name; its design is created by a random series of thick and thin vertical lines of color. Sequence has a color line of twelve color combinations. Some are tonal mixes; others add a contrasting color as a balance to the gradation of hues.”
Here is how we do it:
We start with this awesome 100% New Zealand Wool carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the boarders, permanently attach our True Bullnose® rigid edge, and then add a soft, non-scratchy padding to the back. (Padding is now recommended by every carpet manufacturer. It improves the comfort, performance and life of the carpet. We use a 100% post-consumer padding and the best part is we include it at no additional cost!)
True Bullnose® stair treads are permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so when installed, it will stay nicely wrapped around your stairs. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope the treads stay wrapped around the stairs. Not these. True Bullnose® treads have a pressure sensitive adhesive that keeps the tread in place and a strong, rigid bullnose edge that keeps the wrap-around in place.
