Our prices are for treads individually (per step) so you can order the correct number of treads to match the number of steps you have in your staircase. An elegant but affordable alternative to a complete professional runner installation.
The style is called Executive Park Mushroom, and it is made by J Mish with 100% Wool. J Mish puts it best: “Executive Park is a thick vertical loop with the appearance of a sisal construction, yet with the luscious hand of an all wool carpet.”
THE TREADS ON THESE STAIRS ARE EXECUTIVE PARK NORTH FACE AND ARE FOR REFERENCE ONLY
We are offering these treads 27″ wide. For the depth, all treads are made to fit the most common stair depth which is 10″ deep (measured from the back wall of the step to the tip of the bullnose looking straight down at the tape measure — no need to wrap it around, we know how much to add for that). For the thickness, they will be made to the most common step thickness of 1″ thick.
Here is how we do it:
We start with this awesome 100% Wool carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the borders and then permanently attach our True Bullnose® rigid edge.
As shown in our Shop, the True Bullnose® stair tread is permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so when installed, it will stay nicely wrapped around your stairs. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope the treads stay wrapped around the stairs. Not these. True Bullnose® treads have a pressure sensitive material that keeps the tread in place and a strong, rigid bullnose edge that keeps the wrap-around in place.

Through our supply database we are able to identify which of our growers can best deliver wool to meet the requirements of individual products. By connecting our growers with supply partners we are able to communicate future market requirements to ensure our growers adapt on-farm methods to deliver the ultimate wool.

If you decide to order additional stair treads, please note that we are not able to guarantee that orders placed at different times will be produced from the same dye lot. Due to the nature of textile production, both carpet color and binding color can vary from one dye lot to the next. Typically this variation is slight. We recommend placing a single order for all treads, including custom pieces, to ensure that they will all be produced from the same dye lot.
Per our return policy, there is a 30% restocking fee for any returns. While we wish this was not necessary, our shop’s made to order nature makes it so. We purchase the carpet and create each order once it is placed. Thank you for your understanding and patience!
