Description
Part of our premium wool collection of stair treads! An elegant but affordable alternative to a complete professional runner installation.
We make the treads in our standard sizes of 24″ wide, 27″ wide, 31″ wide and 35″ wide and they fit the standard 10″ deep stair with a 1″ thick tread. But if you need a custom size, just let us know, we can do that, too! We sell our treads individually so that you can order the correct number to match your stairs. We also custom make matching landings (with the option of a built in bullnose on one edge at no additional cost) and runners, just let us know what you need!
J Mish puts it best: “Bouclé is a woven wilton carpet with a luscious texture that is both elegant and dimensional. Each of Bouclés four colorations enhances its structure by mixing two different wool heather yarns, creating a soft, neutral palette.”
This style comes in the following colors:
– Boxwood
– Grain
– Silver Strand
– Serious
Here is how we do it:
We start with this awesome 100% Wool carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the borders, permanently attach our True Bullnose® rigid edge, and then add padding and nonskid to the back.
The standard size is made for a 10″ deep tread 24″ wide, but you can upgrade to 27″ wide, 31″ wide or 35″ wide — or we can make any custom size you may need! The stair tread is permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so when installed, it will stay nicely wrapped around your stairs. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope the tread stays wrapped around the stairs. Not these. True Bullnose® treads have a pressure sensitive material that keeps the tread in place and a strong, rigid bullnose edge that keeps the wrap-around in place.

The benefits of wool
Wool has some amazing features built in by nature…
If you decide to order additional stair treads, please note that we are not able to guarantee that orders placed at different times will be produced from the same dye lot. Due to the nature of textile production, both carpet color and binding color can vary from one dye lot to the next. Typically this variation is slight. We recommend placing a single order for all treads, including custom pieces, to ensure that they will all be produced from the same dye lot.
