We make these stair treads with JMish Heatherweave Monclair Cloud 100% Wool carpet.
The style is called Heatherweave Monclair and the color is Cloud and it is made by JMish with 100% Wool in a Petit Point Loop Pile.

We make the treads in our standard sizes of 24″wide, or 27″ wide, 31″ wide and 35″ wide and they fit the standard 10″ Deep stair with a 1″ thick tread. But if you need a custom size, just let us know, we can do that, too!
Here is how we do it:
We start with this awesome 100% Wool carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the boarders, and then add a soft, non-scratchy padding to the back. (Padding is now recommended by every carpet manufacturer. It improves the comfort, performance and life of the carpet. We use a 100% post-consumer padding and the best part is we include it at no additional cost!)
Why Wool?
Asthma Safe – Wool has some amazing features built in by nature. Wool textiles act as a natural air filter, trapping allergens such as dust and pollen and keeping them out of the breathing zone
Fire Safe – Wool does not burn until its gets to 700 degrees celsius, even then it self extinguishes once the source of the fire is removed.
Breathe Safe – Wool purifies the air – Wool absorbs indoor contaminants and purifies the air you breathe of harmful gases, locking them away for up to 30 years.
Quiet Spaces – Wool absorbs unwanted noise – Wool textiles absorb noise and create warmth making your home or office the perfect place for relaxation, concentration and play.
As shown in our Shop, the True Bullnose® stair tread is permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so when installed, it will stay nicely wrapped around your stairs. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope the tread stays wrapped around the end of the stairs. Not these. True Bullnose® treads have a pressure sensitive material that keeps the tread in place and a strong, rigid bullnose edge that keeps the wrap-around in place.

If you decide to order additional stair treads, please note that we are not able to guarantee that orders placed at different times will be produced from the same dye lot. Due to the nature of textile production, both carpet color and binding color can vary from one dye lot to the next. Typically this variation is slight. We recommend placing a single order for all treads, including custom pieces, to ensure that they will all be produced from the same dye lot.
Per our return policy, there is a 35% restocking fee for any returns. While we wish this was not necessary, our shop’s made to order nature makes it so. We purchase the carpet and create each order once it is placed. Thank you for your understanding and patience!
