Part of our premium wool collection of stair treads!  An elegant but affordable alternative to a complete professional runner installation.  The style is 100% Wool, not the cheaper olefin/polypropylene-type yarns.

Washington Square is a tailored precision loop texture of soft heathered wool; it’s vertical ribs alternate with dotted loops creating a woven-look texture. As part of J Mish’s Heathers Collection, Washington Square’s color palette has eight natural colors in shades of earthy grey and taupe tones, soft charcoal, rich beiges and a clean, fresh ivory. Coordinate styles are Hundred Court, Bristol Park and Nature’s Velvet.

We make the treads in our standard sizes of 24″ wide, 27″ wide, 31″ wide and 35″ wide and they fit the standard 10″ Deep stair with a 1″ thick tread. But if you need a custom size, just let us know, we can do that, too!

Here is how we do it:

We start with this awesome 100% Wool carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the borders, permanently attach our True Bullnose® rigid edge, and then add padding and nonskid to the back.

The standard size is made for a 10″ deep tread 24″ wide, but you can upgrade to 27″ wide, 31″ wide or 35″ wide — or we can make any custom size you may need! (They are all made to cover 10″ Deep stairs which are 1″ thick or less with a rounded front bullnose, but can be placed on stairs that are deeper or thinner — if you need a custom cut for shallower/deeper/wider stairs or have thicker stairs with a square-face, just let us know!)

As shown, the stair tread is permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so when installed, it will stay nicely wrapped around your stairs. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope the treads stay wrapped around the end of your stairs. Not these. True Bullnose® treads have a pressure sensitive adhesive that keeps the tread in place and a strong, rigid bullnose edge that keeps the wrap-around in place.
